Locate fish easily

FISHTRACKER uses digital signal processing techniques to examine all those echoes and identify any echoes that look like large individual fish. A mark is placed on the screen where is the target, and the LAT/LON and echo characteristics of the mark are stored on disk for later training and analysis.

DUALSCAN OPTION — All INCEVE Electronics sonars are available in DUALSCAN configuration with one ScanPod mounted on each side of the keel. No extension of the transducer below the keel is needed (but it is available). No transducer below the keel where it is easily damaged by debris, nets, or grounding. DUALSCAN uses two scanning transducers and scans twice as fast as a single beam sonar. This improves both navigation and fish detection.

FISHTRACKER OPTION All professional level forward looking sonars can detect individual large fish such as marlin, tuna, and salmon to one hundred meters or more. But interpretation of the fish echoes on the sonar screen is difficult due to the sonar receiving echoes from many different targets in the sea around the boat. Wind waves, seabed echoes, bait fish echoes, and tide rips all contribute to a sonar screen full of confusing colors. Expert sonar operators can make use of these cluttered screens, but it takes a lot of practice to gain the skill.

SL 160

SL 160 is the advanced single transducer element 160 kHz searchlight sonar.

SL 160 FT

Designed to identify and track individual fish digital signal processing techniques. Market is large sport fishing boats, tuna trollers/jig boats, and Alaska salmon seiners. This could also be used for fisheries management for stock assessment.

SL 160 NB

SL 160 NB is a narrow beam, two 160 kHz transducers stacked vertically to achieve 1/2 the beam width of competitors, 3.75 vs 6.5. That gives potentially 2x longer detection in shallow water where seabed echoes obscure the sonar picture.
